Error Analysis in Translation Pedagogy (A Study of EFL Students at Al-Saeed University)

Students who are studying translation face challenges and unique problems when they translate texts from Arabic into English vice versa. Therefore, a study of errors is needed to investigate the most common types that affect process translating English, The purpose this examine fourth year students in Bachelor Arts program studies at Al-Saeed University (SU) Yemen. During SU’s academic 2021-2022, data was collected order determine extent which formal training contributes make during process. This argues encountered by translators can be overcome or minimised if factors such as literary genre, gender, directionality considered. It concluded there relationship between (i.e., versa) errors. outcomes will used improve courses graduate competency recommends teaching materials should updated, all sub-competencies assessed.
